We are delighted to inform you of an important change to the ownership of Inenco Group.

In March 2017 our founding shareholders, the Martin-Weber family, found themselves in the position of considering how to realise the opportunities of a globalised marketplace. They formed a strategic partnership with Genuine Parts Company (GPC) through the sale of a 35% shareholding.

This strategic partnership has now evolved to a complete acquisition by GPC, who will become the sole shareholder of Inenco Group, effective July 1, 2019.

This is an exciting ownership change that will benefit all the businesses within Inenco Group, our customers and our employees.

We thank the Martin-Weber Family for their insightfulness in positioning Inenco for success now and into the future through championing this partnership with GPC. For over sixty years the Martin-Weber family provided ongoing management, investment and guidance to Inenco. They built a market leading group of companies with great brands, loyal and engaged employees, and highly valued customers and suppliers. Our success will continue with the solid foundations they have laid.

Inenco and GPC have a shared long-term vision for the Group’s businesses and have a commitment to ensure a strong and stable business focused on growth. With our values aligned we will continue to invest in people, remain customer centric and build strong relationships with all our stakeholders.

GPC is a respected and successful global organisation and we are proud to be part of the GPC family.

Charting the Course

Charting the Course

Our Industrial Solutions businesses, BSC, CBC & WebstersBSC, held a Branch Manager’s Summit on the Gold Coast during August to a resounding success.

Attended by 100 staff members from across Australia, the summit theme was ‘Charting the Course’. Participants enjoyed a hands-on experience with groups of nine rotating around ten workshops throughout the two days. In addition to the workshops, several plenary sessions were conducted to update attendees on business performance, strategy and developments in training and engineering.

Of course it wasn’t all work. Delegates took the opportunity to network with colleagues and suppliers, many meeting face to face for the first time. The group also enjoyed an evening at a local golf driving range, where teams were pitched against each other & the competition was friendly but fierce!

Feedback from our people is important and we were pleased that a survey conducted after the summit indicated a 97% approval rating for the overall conference.

Staff who did not attend the summit have been able to participate in online workshops & view videos of the plenary sessions. The Summit continues to generate great team conversations on how we can continue to improve business and effectively manage team performance, leadership and development.

Inenco Acquisitions

Inenco Group is very pleased to announce two recent acquisitions that will further strengthen our position as Australia’s leading supplier of engineering replacement parts and create new sales opportunities.

On 26 March 2018 our CEO, Roger Jowett, announced the acquisition of Global Fasteners.

Global Fasteners was established in Townsville in 2002. Owned & managed by Paul Phillips and Darren Morris, it is a family business with family values that closely align with Inenco’s.

The business adds substantial value to Inenco’s Specialty Fasteners business stream and marks the start of an exciting time as Speciality Fasteners expand into the Queensland market.

Global Fasteners operates five branches in Queensland – Townsville, Cairns, Mackay, Rockhampton and Brisbane.  Their diversified customer base includes construction, manufacturers, utilities, maintenance organisations, engineering shops and general trades.

Global Fasteners founder, Paul Phillips will remain in the business in the position of Queensland Regional Manager with Specialty Fasteners.

On 11th April 2018, Inenco welcomed Rathbone Engineering to the Inenco family.

Rathbone Engineering was established in 2004 with operations in Brisbane and Chinchilla. Founded by Brian Rathbone & Lance Brett, we are delighted they will both remain in the business.

Rathbone provides mechanical sealing products, associated equipment refurbishment services and on-site engineering services across a broad variety of industrial segments.

The addition of Rathbone to Inenco’s Seal Innovations business stream, gives our customers unrivalled access to in-house workshop capabilities, mechanical process sealing products and completes our already comprehensive market offering.

The business will continue to operate under the Rathbone Engineering and RB Sealing business names, names synonymous with quality and industrial experience.

Inenco Group Conference

Inenco Group Conference

Senior Managers from across all Inenco business streams gathered at the Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley, Windsor for a two day conference during September.

The themes of the conference were Collaboration, Innovation and Continuous Improvement and these topics were highlighted throughout the conference through presentations, workshops and team activities.

Attendees were appreciative of Inenco Group Directors taking time out of their busy schedules to appear at the conference. Presentations from Directors Paul Donahue (GPC Inc) and John Moller (GPC AP) were inspiring and highly regarded as Inenco builds a strong relationship with its new partner.

Always focussed on being a value adding supplier & providing a ‘RELY’ experience for customers, Inenco was thrilled to have two customers present at the conference. Each presenter gave attendees a unique perspective on the service / supply relationship that can be shared across Inenco sales teams.

Feedback from the conference has been extremely positive with one attendee saying, “I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of conference as it demonstrated the power and diversity of the group.”

Thank you to everyone who attended for making this such a great event.

Strategic Partnership – Inenco Group and GPC

Strategic Partnership – Inenco Group and GPC

30 March 2017

On behalf of the Inenco Board and our shareholders – the Martin‐Weber Family – I am delighted to inform you of an important change to the ownership structure of our group.

They have built a market leading group of companies with unparalleled positions in Australia and New Zealand, and a growing footprint in South East Asia. We have many great brands, fantastic employees and highly valued customers.
The next chapter for our Group is to invite a new Shareholder into the Boardroom – Genuine Parts Company (GPC) as we seek to secure and improve our leading position for decades to come.
GPC is a hugely successful corporation operating in the United States, Canada, Australasia and Mexico. GPC’s values and principles closely align to our own: they invest in people, are customer centric, and are long term investors. GPC will bring leading IT solutions, world class supply chain and procurement processes, and an appetite to invest in profitable growth across the markets that we serve. They will also assist us in developing our marketing & training programs.

GPC has operated the world’s number one industrial parts distribution business, Motion Industries since 1976, providing the Inenco Group with a partner who brings exceptional knowledge and know‐ how. GPC are also experienced Australia/New Zealand investors, having undertaken the highly successful purchase of the Exego Group of companies (now GPC Asia Pacific) in the 2012‐14 period. Under GPC’s ownership and support, the GPC Asia Pacific Australian and New Zealand businesses, that include Repco and Ashdown‐Ingram, have flourished, with an impressive recent track record.

The sale of 35% of the Inenco Group is the first step towards a future 100% divestment. The Martin‐ Weber Family is still the majority shareholder and remains on the Board. All employment contracts remain unchanged.

We will work closely with GPC and Motion Industries’, as well as GPC Asia Pacific’s experts to drive growth that is sustainable. We will seek synergies across our supply chain and we will prioritise an upgrade of our IT platforms where necessary.
Please join me in welcoming the GPC family into the Inenco world. Senior management will be conducting Road Shows in the coming weeks to give you a thorough understanding of this exciting partnership and how it will benefit the company, our customers and our employees.
